Alejandro Ponce
Alejandro holds vast experience in investing both in large companies and startups. Before Ataria, he founded ToN Ventures, an angel fund with 30 investments in tech ventures in Israel and Silicon Valley. Previously, at age 28, he co-founded Nexus Group and grew it to become Peru’s largest private equity firm, managing over $1B total assets under two funds.
Alejandro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad del Pacifico and went on to gain an M.B.A. from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. In 2016, Alejandro received a full scholarship from Google to attend Singularity University’s Global Solutions Program, deepening his expertise in exponential technologies.

JP Ortiz
JP possesses extensive experience in digital transformation, venture investing, and business development. Before Ataria, JP led business development in the healthcare and media sectors at Enfoca, a private equity firm with $1Bn in AUM. His previous professional experience spans quantitative finance, private equity, investment banking, and management consulting, both in the United States and Latin America. Academically, he held both teaching and research positions at Stanford University and Harvard University. As part of Stanford’s School of Economics, he participated in advisory engagements for leading technology companies in Silicon Valley.
JP holds both a Ph.D.(c) and a M.A. in Economics from Stanford University, an M.P.A. in International Development from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Lima, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
